What are AI credits
Credits pay for the work Supaboard's AI does: answering questions in Chat, building dashboards, datasites and reports, generating files and running automations. Paid plans get a weekly allowance that resets on its own. Starter's is the base, Individual gets 5 times as much and Business 20 times, and Enterprise sets its own. The Free plan gets a one-time allowance that doesn't refill. Settings show how much of it you've used. Running out doesn't break anything you've built. Dashboards, datasites and saved queries keep working, and an automation that's already running finishes its run. New AI requests wait for the next reset, or on a paid plan you can add credits at any time. Free can't buy credits: adding a card means choosing a plan.
What's the difference between Flash, Pro and Max
They're the AI modes you choose between when you ask a question. Flash gives precise, to-the-point answers, for everyday tasks. Pro is deep analytical thinking, for powering through data. Max plans, then investigates, for complex tasks. Every plan has Flash. Individual adds Pro, and Business and Enterprise add Max.
What counts as storage
What your workspace keeps in Sheets, including spreadsheets you upload. Querying your connected databases doesn't use any of it, because nothing is copied out of them. Free includes 100 MB, Starter 1 GB, Individual 10 GB and Business 30 GB. A paid plan can go past its storage, and the extra is $0.50 per GB-month, billed monthly. Free stops at 100 MB: delete data or upgrade to add more. Enterprise storage is set in your contract.
Is there a free plan
Yes. The Free plan costs nothing and needs no credit card. It includes Flash, a one-time AI allowance, 100 MB of storage, one each of dashboards, datasites, sheets, automations and saved queries, one data source and one agent, and unlimited file generations, which use the AI allowance like any other AI work. Upgrade when you need more of any of them.
Which plans include Python and embedding
Python in Query Bench is included on every plan, Free included. Use it to query one or more connected sources, and to combine them in one result. Embedding dashboards, datasites and Chat in your own pages is on Individual, Business and Enterprise. An embed can carry hidden filters set per customer, so each viewer sees only their own rows.
Who do I pay for
You pay for the people who build and manage things in Supaboard: editors, admins and owners, plus any service accounts. Viewers are free, and you can have as many as you like. They open dashboards and read what's shared with them without taking a paid seat. Nothing is charged when you send an invite. A seat is billed once someone accepts, and moving a viewer up to editor is prorated for the rest of the billing period.
Why is Supaboard priced per editor instead of per viewer
Because most people in your company shouldn't need a paid BI license just to look at a number. You pay for the people who create and manage analytics. Everyone else views dashboards and insights for free.
Can Supaboard change my source data
No. Database and warehouse queries are read-only. Changes to connected apps require your approval. Chat reads and analyzes your data; an app connected through MCP, such as Notion or HubSpot, is changed only once you approve it. A database inside a private network connects the same way, over an SSH tunnel or a site-to-site IPsec VPN.
How quickly can we get started
With a database, you can connect it, add your core business definitions and ask your first question in about 5 minutes. Larger enterprise rollouts can include white-glove onboarding and a forward-deployed engineer.
Can we deploy Supaboard in our own cloud, on our own models
Yes, on Enterprise. Supaboard runs in your own VPC, self-hosted or on-premise, with the same capabilities as the cloud, and can use your own email relay and S3-compatible storage. A self-hosted deployment runs on your own models, through your own contracts with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini or Vertex, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint including one you host. You pick the model, the region and the rate limits. Supaboard receives no platform data; inference follows the model endpoint you configure.
